Jan Victornino Grundl
M.Sc. Computer Science · Rostock

Hello, I'm
Jan Grundl.
I explore AI &
Software Systems.

Master's student at the University of Rostock. I build semantically aware tools and IoT sensor systems for the real world.

Crafting code with purpose

I grew up in Rostock and mostly stayed. I'm doing a master's in computer science here, after finishing my bachelor's at the same university. What keeps me curious is the overlap between machine learning and software engineering.

My degree took longer than the standard plan. For a good part of it I was also working to help support my family. It taught me how to do real work in the hours left over after a long day, and how to stay patient when things move slowly.

I enjoy teaching almost as much as building. Trying to explain something clearly is usually how I find out whether I really understand it.
